This film's poster tells us that it is a romantic comedy given away by the colours and so fourth. They make the poster very appealling and eye catching with the use of word uncensored unhitited unmarried immediately the audience want to know more

We are introduced to our main protagonist with brigdet jones holding what we would think is her diary. The male protagonist are either side of her both looking in and colin is try to look into the book. The proganist each show the comedy side of the movie with their expressions.

The text is very large and use the typicla romantic text colour ouf red and black which can connote so much love, passion etc they make the movie easy for the audience to straight away tell this is romance movie. The comedy elemnt is portrayed by the use of the phrase such as
all women keep score but only the great one put it in writing.

I think the target audience for this film is 18-40's as they could relate to the storyline more and identify themselves with the characters. Also many women do use diiary so it help the women to relate to Renee zellwegger.

The trailer make bridget seem very real when see talking about her resoultions and the dilemmas in her love life and then the horribly embrassing clip of her singing quite badly helping many women to relate and then want to see the movie.

World wide gross: $281,527,158
