Synopsis:
The story of a 18 year old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, Jamal Malik. He is one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' But when the show breaks for the night, he is arrested on suspicion of cheating, as how could he know so much with no formal education? Jamal tells the story of his life growing up with his brother in the slums and their adventures together encountering local gangs and the love of his life, Latika. His past experiences reveal the answers to each question on the game show proving his innocence.
